Antico amore d’oriente – teatro in cammino è un progetto artistico che intreccia il teatro partecipato con la pratica del cammino lento nell’intento di abitare artisticamente i luoghi e generare piccole comunità provvisiorie.

La compagnia, guidata dall’asino Fiocco, ha percorso a piedi il tratto dell’antica via di pellegrinaggio Romea Strata da Ragogna a Cordovado, attraversando Spilimbergo, San Martino al Tagliamento, Casarsa della Delizia, Sesto al Reghena e Valvasone. Lungo il cammino, ha incontrato le comunità locali con laboratori artistici, incursioni teatrali, veglie poetiche, incontri e spettacoli di teatro partecipato.

Antico amore d’oriente – teatro in cammino is an artistic project that combines participatory theater with slow walking, with the intent to artistically inhabit places and create small temporary communities.

The company, led by the donkey Fiocco, walked the stretch of the ancient pilgrimage route Romea Strata from Ragogna to Cordovado, passing through Spilimbergo, San Martino al Tagliamento, Casarsa della Delizia, Sesto al Reghena, and Valvasone. Along the way, it engaged with local communities through artistic workshops, theatrical incursions, poetic vigils, meetings, and participatory theater performances.

Il cammino

“caminante no hay camino, se hace camino al andar” – il cammino si fa camminando.

Il modo che abbiamo scelto per affrontare questo cammino è il passo lento dell’asino Fiocco, animale mite e profondo, tenace e dal passo sicuro, perfetto compagno di strada, capace di mostrarci uno sguardo altro sul mondo, una diversa postura, in ascolto. L’asino è nostro compagno di viaggio in questo cammino per insegnarci l’andatura, lo sguardo, la postura.

Ogni giornata sarà suddivisa in tre momenti: con le prime luci del mattino ci metteremo in cammino, l’asino detta l’andatura; il pomeriggio sarà dedicato ai laboratori comunitari e al calar della sera incontreremo la comunità condividendo quanto raccolto e condiviso nel corso della giornata: canti, danze, storie, poesie.

The path we have chosen to take follows the slow pace of Fiocco, a gentle and profound donkey—tenacious and sure-footed, the perfect travel companion. With his steady rhythm, he offers us a different perspective on the world, a new posture—one of deep listening. Along this journey, the donkey becomes our guide, teaching us his pace, his gaze, and his way of being present.

Each day is divided into three moments: at dawn, we set off on foot, letting the donkey set the rhythm; in the afternoon, we dedicate time to community workshops; and as evening falls, we gather with the local community to share the songs, dances, stories, and poetry collected throughout the day.
